February 17, 2010 – The D.C. Divas, Washington, DC’s championship women’s full-contact football team, have launched the club’s official fan page on the social networking site Facebook. The Divas’ official Facebook page, “D.C. Divas Football,” will serve as the digital domain for the team’s multimedia content and an interactive hub between the organization and D.C. Divas fans.

“In less than two months, the D.C. Divas will kick off the 2010 season on the field. Today, we’re kicking things off digitally and giving our fans another way to follow the team during the franchise’s 10th anniversary,” said Divas General Manager Rich Daniel. “Providing a robust one-stop-shop Facebook home for Divas fans is just the first step. This season we’ll not only give fans unprecedented access to our players and the latest information, we’ll give them a say. This is shaping up to be a very special season, and we want the Divas fans to be a part of it every step of the way.”

The D.C. Divas are the defending Independent Women’s Football League (IWFL) Eastern Conference champions and kick off their tenth anniversary season on April 10, 2010, against the rival Baltimore Nighthawks.
